Built in the field,
not in a boardroom.
Progress Job Management started with contractors who were tired of running real money through spreadsheets. Every feature since has come from the same place — the job site and the office that supports it.
We kept meeting the same contractor
Growing fast. Winning bigger work. And quietly held together by a whiteboard, a group chat and a spreadsheet only one person truly understood.
Those businesses didn't need more software. They needed one place where a job lived — the bid, the schedule, the crew, the hours, the purchase orders, the photos and the invoice — updating for everyone at the same time.
So we built Progress alongside them, module by module, until the office and the field were finally looking at the same day.
“If the crew can't use it on a wet Tuesday with gloves on, it doesn't ship.”
Give every contractor the operating system their work deserves
Progress exists to remove the admin drag between winning work and getting paid for it — so office teams stop chasing paper and crews stop losing hours to process.
One platform from first call to final invoice
A world where a contractor can quote, schedule, dispatch, cost, document and bill a job in one place, on any device, with live numbers instead of month-end guesses.
Three gaps nobody was closing
The tools didn't fit the trades
Generic field service tools handled residential dispatch well and then stopped. Commercial bid work, task costing and progress billing lived outside the software entirely.
Teams paid for what they never used
Rigid tiers forced contractors to buy a whole bundle for one feature. We built Progress modular so you switch on only the parts of the platform you actually run.
Implementation was left to the customer
Software was sold, then abandoned. We ship with weeks of onsite, hands-on training and stay on the phone afterwards — including for the people you hire next year.
How Progress took shape
- The problem
Spreadsheets running real jobs
Contractors were tracking bids, hours and purchase orders across whiteboards, texts and half a dozen spreadsheets. Job costing arrived weeks after the work did.
- First build
One shared job record
We started with the thing everyone argued about: a single job record holding addresses, contacts, documents and logged time — visible to the office and the field at once.
- Into the field
A real mobile app
Techs got a full app, not a cut-down viewer: clock in and out of jobs, raise POs, sign work orders and file field reports with photos from site.
- Commercial work
Bid jobs and progress billing
Commercial contractors asked for what nobody else offered them — bid jobs, task-level cost tracking, change orders and AIA-style G702 / G703 billing inside the job.
- Today
A modular platform
Progress runs residential service calls and multi-phase commercial projects side by side, with modules switched on only where they're needed.
- Next
Deeper automation
Field payments, richer calendar integrations and more automated customer communication are in active development, shaped by the contractors using Progress every day.
